C.B. Barrett

C.B. Barrett age 79 a resident of Calhoun Tennessee, passed away Saturday November 18, 2017. He was the son of the late Veto and Nettie Barrett and was also preceded in death by his brothers Rayburn, Braxton, O.L. and Charles Barrett, his sister Flora Pearl Jackson. C.B. was a heavy equipment operator for many years and worked for several construction companies including Wright Brothers Construction, R.C. Durr Construction and Leslie County Road Department in Hyden Kentucky. He was a member of the Hyden KY. Masonic Lodge #664 as well as the Olieda Shriners Temple in Lexington KY. C.B. was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Calhoun Tennessee and more than anything he loved his family and spending time with them. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Judy Allen Barrett, his daughters Rhonda Edmondson and her husband Stanley of Hernando MS., Angela Lewis of Georgetown KY., and Renee Barrett and her fiancé Scott Kinney of Red Banks MS., his sons Ron Barrett and his wife Toni of Florence KY., Joe Barrett and his special friend Junie Barclay of Richmond KY., 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held 2 o’clock Wednesday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel, 2003 North Ocoee St. Cleveland TN., 37311, with Pastor Kevin Cheatham and Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating. The interment will follow in the Calhoun First Baptist Church cemetery, Calhou TN., with Joe Barrett, Aaron Lewis, Tyler Barrett, Adrian Sutton, Tyler Pratt, Billy Allen and Ron Barrett serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 until 2 at the funeral home.
