Cecil Wilson Payne Jr.

Cecil Wilson Payne Jr., 65, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the family residence. Cecil was born in Detroit, Michigan and he was the son of the late Beatrice Anderson Payne and Cecil Wayne Payne Sr. His sister, Gwenonna Payne and his brothers, James and Tommy Payne also preceded him in death. Cecil worked at Brown Stove Works with 35 years of service. He also worked for Amazon with over 10 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors including fishing and camping. He also enjoyed tinkering with small engines including lawn mowers. Cecil was known to be a very friendly and caring man. He attended the Hampton Drive Baptist Church.Survivors include his sons, Mark Payne, Daniel Payne (Amber), Joey Payne (Chelsea), all of Cleveland, several grandchildren, a great grandson, sisters, Wanda Payne, Cleveland, Pauline Stadler (John), Resaca, Georgia, brothers, Paul Payne (Sherry), Decatur, Jesse Payne (Judy), Cleveland, several cousins, nieces and nephews.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 2 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Lee Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 P. M. Thursday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
