Charlotte B. Scott

Charlotte B. Scott, 93, a resident of Charleston, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021 in a local health care facility. Mrs. Scott was born in Chattanooga and she was the daughter of the late Laura Irene Frazier Brewer and William Albert Brewer. Her first husband, Frank Moody, second husband, James Clemons, son, Ronald "Ron" Moody also preceded her in death. Mrs. Scott received her Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Miami and her Masters Degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University. She retired from teaching with many years of service in Florida and 5 years of service in Tennessee. She enjoyed traveling, watching T. V. Westerns, she was an avid reader and was a Florida Gator and Tennessee Vols Football fan. Mrs. Scott was a member of the First United Methodist Church.Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Gene Scott of Charleston, daughter, Susan Griffith (George), Gainesville, Florida, sons, Richard Moody (Christine), New Port Richey, Florida, Robert Moody, Miami, Michael Scott (Paula), Rockford, Tennessee, Keith Scott (Cathi), Statham, Georgia, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, cousin, June Roberts (Sam), Wildwood, Georgia, several nieces and nephews.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 11 A. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Curtis McKee officiating. Graveside services and Interment will follow at1 1 P. M. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with family and friends serving as casket bearers.
