Chloe Selden Stewart, age 93, born January 28, 1927, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on December 3. He was a member of North Cleveland Church of God and had worked for over 40 years at the Church of God Publishing House as an artist. He was a devoted husband and father, and loved God with his whole heart. He faithfully served the Lord with his God-given talents. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Charles and Lela Stewart, brothers and sisters-in-law: Opie and Essie, James and Callie, John and Lois, sisters and brothers-in-law: Ollie and George Benefield, Ethel and Cecil Knowles, Edna and Denson Pate, Nellie and Johnny Cornutt and brother-in-law Frank Kelley. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Christine, his sister Alice Kelley, daughter and son-in-law Lenae and Bill Simmons, grandchildren, David, Nathaniel and Alyssa (spouse), and Laura, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was employed at the Church of God Publishing House as an artist for 42 years. He designed covers for the Church of God Evangel, Lighted Pathway, On Guard, Pilot and many others. He served in the Army during World War II and later in the Army Reserves. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 7, at 2 p.m, at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel, with Rev. Mark Williams, Pastor of North Cleveland Church of God, officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
