Clara Pace entered into Heaven on November 10, 2017. Born March 10, 1932 in Lawrenceville, GA, she lived primarily in Tampa, FL, Atlanta, GA and made Cleveland, TN her final earthly home. She married the love of her life, Bob Pace at age 19, and they faithfully served the church at large their entire lives. Clara worked for the Department of Agriculture in Atlanta and for Rich’s Department Store as a young woman. She was a faithful servant of the Church of God, including teaching Sunday School, playing the organ for worship, and leading Vacation Bible School. She was always by Bob’s side, the founder of Men and Women of Action, and People for Care and Learning. They traveled together to numerous countries, building orphanages, hospitals, missionary homes and serving those in need for over three decades. She is survived by her husband, Robert D. (Bob) Pace, Sr., their two sons, Robert D.(Chip) Pace and wife, Annette, of Sarasota, FL, and Jeff Pace (wife Sara) of Atlanta, GA. Grandchildren include Ryan and Mackenzie Pace, Kristen and Andrew Bell, Davi Pace, and Carrie and Cory Sellers of Atlanta and R. J. Adams of Idaho. Great grandchildren are Andie Juliette and Weston Bell, Nathan, Evelyn and Caleb Sellers, and Buddy and Molly Adams. Scores of others “adopted” Clara as mom and she treasured them all. Her only surviving sibling of six, her brother, David Braswell, resides in Gainesville FL. An abundance of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, were precious to her, as she loved well. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga and other caregivers. The Celebration of Life Service will be conducted Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 3:00 P.
