Clyde Dunn, age 85, a life long resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday evening at the family residence. Mr. Dunn was the son of the late Edna McDonald Dunn and Robert Dunn. His grand daughter, Paula McCarter, his grandson, Johnathan McCarter, his sisters, Geneva Clonts, Juanita Harris and his brothers, John, Homer and Reverend Robert "Bud" Dunn also preceded him in death. Mr. Dunn worked for more than 20 years with Magic Chef and then with Eaton Corporation with more that 15 years of service before his retirement. He also built houses and he was a school bus driver. He also was a trusted employee with Jim Rush Funeral Homes. He enjoyed riding horses, fishing, golfing and bowling. Mr. Dunn was a member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Wanda Dunn of Cleveland, his daughters, Deloris Anderson and her husband Freddie, Brenda Torbett Alford and her husband Wesley and Dena Herron all of Cleveland, his sons, Jeff Dunn and his wife Margarita of Boynton Beach, Florida, Tony Dunn and his wife Beverly of Cleveland, his 13 grandchildren, his 15 great grandchildren, his sister, Barbara Nipper of Cleveland, his brothers, Jude Dunn of Georgia, Randall Dunn of Chatsworth, Georgia and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Graveside Service will be conducted on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 2:00 P. M. at the Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend David Disney officiating. Casket bearers will be Justin Dunn, Travis Torbett, Wes Alford, Eric Phillips, Mike Oakes and Dillon Herron. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 2145 NW Keith Street, Cleveland, Tennessee 37311. I will miss my daddy very much. He always took care of our family. Deloris, Jeff, Brenda, Tony, and myself (Dena) and my mom who he took such good care of Wanda Dunn. I love him and he will be greatly missed.
