Daisy Rutledge

Daisy Rutledge, age 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the family residence. Daisy was born in Ringgold, Georgia and she was the daughter of the late Della Mae Welch Malone and Lee Riley Malone. Her husband, Frank B. Rutledge, her siblings, Thelma Cucksee, Edward Malone, John Malone, Mildred Merkel, Lola Finley, Robert Malone and Betty Henry also preceded her in death. Daisy was a well known seamstress and she owned and operated Daisy's Alterations for 35 years. She was also known for her "Green Thumb" because she could grow anything in her flower or vegetable gardens. She also enjoyed cooking. Daisy was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God.Survivors include her daughter, Martha Allgood of Cleveland, her grandchildren, "Sam", the Guarding Cat, her step grandchild, Jason Allgood, her sister, Joyce Green, her brothers, Lester "Gene" Malone, Carl Malone and Daniel Malone and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 1:00 P. M. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Dr. Joseph Bathe and Pastor Cy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with nephews serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. Friday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
