David Steven Elrod

David Steven Elrod, age 53, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021. David was born in Cleveland and was preceded in death by his father, Joe Elrod, his maternal grandparents, Elmo and Edna Woodward and his paternal grandparents, Pedro Elrod and Callie Mae Elrod Davis. David was a U. S. Air Force Veteran. He worked in Internet Sales for several car dealerships with Gray Epperson Automotive being the last place he worked. What he loved to do most was Street Ministry, telling anybody and everybody about Jesus Christ. David attended the Church of God and Interdenominational churches.Survivors include his wife, Sharon Elrod of Cleveland, his daughters, Charity Blach and her husband Cory, Hope Ballinger and her husband Colby all of Cleveland, his grandson, who he loved deeply, Ryan Ballinger also of Cleveland, his mother, Elizabeth Daniel and her husband John, his brother, Jody Elrod and his wife Stacey all of Cleveland, his sisters, Kathy Elrod Carter of Delano, Tammy Stephens and her husband Scott of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 1:00 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Steve Corbin and Reverend Perry Stone officiating. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 10:30 A. M. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Jody Elrod, Scott Stephens, Mark Bishop, Paul Woodward, Skip Greer, Brent Swanson, David Swanson and Mark Fisher serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P. M. Tuesday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
