David E. Rollins

David E. Rollins, Sr., 88, a life-long resident of the White Oak Community in Bradley County, went peacefully to his heavenly home on Thursday, October 5, 2023 with his family by his side. He was a 1953 graduate of Bradley High School. He served in the United States Army Reserves for six years. He was a lifetime farmer and retired from Bowater in 1997 after 42 years of service. His dedication and love for the Lord and his family touched many lives. He was a lifetime member of White Oak Baptist Church serving as a deacon and in many other roles. He was the son of the late E.E. and Imo Burgiss Rollins and was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lacey Allen, his brother, Jack Rollins and daughter in law, Amy Rollins. He is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Virginia Price Rollins; sister, Martha Harris; children, Ginger Allen (Dewayne), Dave Rollins (Renee), Carol Beaty (James) and Ernie Rollins (Kellie); grandchildren, Heather Stanfill (Lee), Dustin Rollins, Lucas Allen (Kalee), Kyle Rollins, Laurel Allen, Sarah Beaty (Spencer Seaton), Jesse Beaty (Makala Anderson) and Porter Rollins; step-grandchildren, Tatum Webb, Ana Medina and Clay Hunter Medina. He also adored ten great-grandchildren; Emilee, Jace and Logan Stanfill, Luka, Ava Everett and Hazel Allen, Lori Grace Rollins, Presley and Zane Rollins. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 2pm at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Street Chapel with Rev. David Evans, Rev. Don Whitehead and Rev. Chris Stokes officiating. The interment will be held at 12 noon Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dustin Kyle, Porter Rollins, Lucas Allen, Jesse Beaty, Lee Stanfill and Randy Willcutt serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.
