Brother Pemberton and his wife were my inspiration as a young man just out of college and served as his minister of music In Jacksonville Florida. He provided spiritual, financial, and marriage advise numerous times. He treated me like a son because he wanted others to treat his sons Larry and Rick well on their first job. He ask me several times to put Christ first in everything. One time we were eating breakfast together and he ask everyone to be quiet in a restaurant so I could pray over the food. In a funny way he taught me to serve the Lord with all my heart. Last time I saw him was five years ago at Westmore with Sister Pemberton. Looking forward to seeing my “adopted” father in Heaven soon.

I can remember when he was a teenager and he and his brother billy were like siamese twins and would double date in an old hudson terraplane with a rumble seat which would barely hold two people. he would let me and his brother wayne ride in the rumble and I} felt special..
