Donald Joseph Young

Donald Young, 77, a resident of McDonald, passed away Saturday September 3, 2022 in a local hospital. He was the son of the late C.O. and Annabelle Young. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Betty Young, son Allen Young, and brothers: Charles, Orville and Bill Young. Donald retired from Whirlpool with over 20 years of service and then went to work for Suburban Propane and retired from there with over 25 years of service. He attended Temple Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 14 years Mary Jane Young, son: Darren Young; daughter: Julia Christeena Porter, step-daughter Jennifer Sharp, daughter in law Tonya Young, brother Gene Young (Faye), 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 11 am Friday, September 9, 2022 at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave Chapel with Pastor Paul Fox officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jacob Young, Will Young, Joseph Ingram, Mikel Ingram, David Porter, Trever Porter, Phil Clark and Andy Sharp serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 8 pm at the funeral home.Read Obituary
