Dorothy "Dot" Louise Goodner Everett

Dorothy “Dot” Goodner Everett age 82 a resident of Cleveland passed away Tuesday June 9, 2020 in a local health care facility. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Mattie Collins Goodner and was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Edwin “Dutch” Everett, her brothers Leo, Johnny, Robert “Buck” and Willie “Boots” Goodner, her sisters Betty Burdette and Robbie Cartwright.Dot and her husband Dutch owned and operated C & E Motors for over 40 years. She also worked as a Sales Manager at Hess, Millers and Belk department stores. She was a graduate of Meigs County High School and was a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church.She is survived by her daughter Sheila Everett, her sister Barbara Sue Johnson, her dear friend and neighbor Jo Crye, along with many nieces and nephews.A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave Chapel with Rev. Bob Bankston officiating. The interment will follow at McClanahan Cemetery in Birchwood with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 until 2pm at the funeral home. The family requests that donations be made in Dot’s memory to St. Judes Hospital.
