I'm sorry I was not aware of Preacher Eddies's passing until today. He was my pastor at Short Creek Baptist several years ago. He had a good sense of humor and down to earth personality. We heard some good sermon during his stay. Prayers for Polly and the family. Sincerely, Deb (Parker) Boyd.

I am so sorry Polly for the loss of Eddie! As you know the Evans's and Hooker's go back for more than 65 years and miles and years have separated us but the love and memories are still fresh! I don't believe any family has influenced my like as much as the Hooker's have. My heart is heavy and full at the same time. When we all get to Heaven I hope we will know each other as we do now cause I would love to tell them all Thank you for showing the Evans's the way! We will be praying for you all!

in honor of Eddie.

Eddie was the pastor for the revival at Holly Creek Baptist Church in Chatsworth the night I was saved!!! He worked for my Father at Superior Loopers for awhile and made everyone smile! He always had a smile on his face! And I here he enjoyed Rambo the bulldog so much. I was glad to see Rambo find a good and proper home! I am sorry for your loss! He was a wonderful person!!!

Eddie officiated at our wedding in 1965 and we had the privilege of having him as our pastor at Samples Memorial for several years. He and Ron were fishing buddies. Eddie and Polly were an inspiration to us as we grew in our spiritual lives. We loved them dearly.

Eddie and Polly were at Chestuee Baptist back in the 60's when my family moved from Army life to Calhoun, TN. Rev Hooker and Polly were great friends of my mom, dad, Grandpa and Grandma for years. Eddie did my dad's graveside in 04. Polly and family, we are so sad for your loss but know that we will all see one another again one day. Love you all. Jenny Cope Shoemaker
