Emily Joyce McCamish

Emily Joyce McCamish age 89, a resident of Cleveland passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 in a local hospital. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Ruby Mauldin McCamish and was also preceded in death by her sister Elizabeth Nease. Joyce retired from Cleveland Utilities with over 30 years of service. She was a long time member of Big Spring Baptist Church where she attended for over 74 years. She was baptized at the church April 18, 1945. She was a very active member, teaching Sunday School, helping with the Children’s Church and singing in choir. She was also a volunteer at Bradley Memorial Hospital as a Grey Lady for over 20 years. She is survived by her nieces Sharon Baker and her husband Johnny, Vivian Hardwick and her husband Cicero, her nephew Rick Nease and his wife Tricia, her great niece Lauren Moyle and her husband Paul, her great nephew Jordan Nease and her great-great niece Elizabeth Moyle. Joyce is also survived by her sister JoAnn McCamish Forrest and Joyce’s caregiver and friend Elaine McClain. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 7 o’clock Friday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Rev. Tom Wickes officiating. The committal service will be private with Gene Hysinger, Jerry Dunlap, Greg Epperson, Jerry Shannon, Jordan Nease, and Paul Moyle serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 7pm at the funeral home. Donations can be made in the memory and honor of Joyce to her church Big Spring Baptist Church, 1415 Hardwick St. SE.
