Eugene "Boots" Duggan, age 94, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 at the family residence. Boots, as he was affectionately called, was born in Benton, Tennessee and he was the son of the late Ethel Grooms Duggan and Dave Duggan. His wife, Margaret L. Duggan, his sisters, Edna Officer, Evelyn Beck and Dorothy Owenby and his brothers, Harold Duggan, Clarence Duggan and Bill Duggan also preceded him in death. Mr. Duggan owned and operated Duggan Used Cars for over 40 years. He loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing. Boots was a Christian.Survivors include his sons, Mitchell Duggan and his wife Tommie and Larry Duggan, his daughter, Jane Whitener, his grandsons, Willis Hammontree, Anthony "Tony" Duggan, his granddaughter, Laura Duggan, his great great granddaughter, Henley Maddox and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 11:00 A. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Jim Hibbard officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as casket bearers. Due to the current COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. Please understand we will be following the State's COVID guidelines. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please bring and wear a mask. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. Boots was without a doubt one of the kindest, most loving persons I have ever known, I could never express how much respect I had for him and Margaret and that God gave me them to be a part of their family. I always hugged him, and told him I loved him, there are so many of the family that passed that I didn't tell them that, and it is a regret I will never forget. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you, Mitchell, Tommie and Laura, Larry, Jane and their families. Just know that he was loved and I was very proud to call him my Uncle Boots....RIP Boots and fly high with the angels and it will be a big family reunion in heaven and the best of all your eyes won't be a problem anymore, you will be able to see all of them. Just so you know, I love each and every one of you...
