Faye June Lawson age 83 a resident of Cleveland passed away Saturday December 29, 2018 in a local health care facility. She was born July 18, 1935 in Polk County to the late Harley and Monnie McTaggart and was also preceded in death by her husband Sheriff Lamar Lawson, her sister in law Bertie McCallie, her brothers in law A J Lawson and Clarence Lawson. Faye worked at Hardwick Clothes for a number of years and at Gibson’s Discount Center, before that she was a homemaker. She has always been an avid Ladies Vols fan. She was a faithful member at Durkee Road Church of God of Prophecy. Later in her life she attended Zion Assembly Church of God. She was a true Christian who loved her Lord and savior. She showed her love by being very involved at her church in the ladies ministry, her senior Sunday School Class and as a fervent prayer warrior in the Prayer Ministry. She is survived by her children Connie Lawson Woods and her husband Gary, Steve Lawson and his wife Connie, her grandchildren Derick Jones and his wife Julie, Whitney Jones Littleton and her husband Mike, Stephen Lawson and his wife Sara, Dustin Lawson and his wife Jennifer and Chase Lawson, her great grandchildren Morgan Ruth, Zach and Ty Ezell, Marlee and Aubree Jones, Cameron Kliebert and Kylie Lawson, Aaron and Ryan Littleton. She is also survived by her sisters Leah Hatmaker of Benton, Barbara Long and her husband Bob of Alabaster AL., Brenda Chastain and her husband R K of Greenback TN., her sisters in law Ruth Lawson, Cathy Lawson, Eunice Couch, Hazel Ledford, Sue Watson, Jean Lawson, her brothers in law Robert Lawson and Harley Lawson along with numerous nieces and nephews.A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Thursday at 10 o’clock at Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Anton Burnette, Pastor Gary Sears and Rev. Ron Roudebush officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with her grandsons Derick Jones, Stephen, Dustin and Chase Lawson, Zach and Ty Ezell serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 until 8pm at Peerless Road Church. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made in honor and memory of Faye to Zion Assembly Church of God, 5512 Water Level Highway, Cleveland TN., 37323.
