Fleetie Christine Wofford Mitchell

Fleetie Christine Wofford Mitchell, age 80, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at the family residence. Mrs. Mitchell was the daughter of the late Fleetie Snowdrop Cohen Wofford and George Lee Wofford. Her husband, Ed Mitchell, her son, Steve Mitchell, her daughter in law, Dawn Mitchell, her sons in law, Randy Dennis and Paul Fulmer, her sister, Mary Steverson and her brothers, Alvin, Bill and J. C. Wofford also preceded her in death. Christine was a graduate of the Miami High School in Miami, Florida. Along with her husband, she enjoyed square dancing and line dancing. Most of all, she loved the Lord and enjoyed Bible studies. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Christine was a member of the First Baptist Church.Survivors include her daughters, Cynthia "Cindy" Lawson and Karen Fulmer both of Cleveland, her grandchildren, Crystal Rizer and her husband Deaunta, Zachary Evatt and his wife Jessica, Michael Lawson Jr., Steven Mitchell and his wife Abby, Sara Mitchell, Nathan Womac and his wife Jacquelyn, Eddie Womac and his wife Chelsea, Corey Lankford and Kristina Lankford Hicks and her husband Tyler, her numerous great grandchildren, her sister, Patricia Sosebee and her husband Ken of Cleveland, her brothers, James Henry Wofford of Cleveland, George "G. W." Wofford and his wife Joyce of Chicamauga, Georgia and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11:00 A. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Caywood officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P. M. Friday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
