Fred Sterling Wilcoxon 72 of Old Fort went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday December 23, 2020 at a local hospital. He enjoyed spending time with his Children, Grandchildren, great grandchildren Family and Friends. He faithfully attended Ball Play Baptist Church. He was employed by Cleveland Plywood Company until he opened his own business Owner/Operator of Fred’s Exxon & Wrecker Service, A Deputy with the Polk County Sheriff’s Department. He was also the owner of Volunteer Construction & Millwright services until He retired. He was preceded in Death by his wife of 52 years Helen Wilcoxon. He was also preceded in death by his parents Letcher and Nellie Franklin Wilcoxon. His Sister Helen Wilcoxon and his Brothers Raymond, Clarence, Thomas “Teber” and Carl Wilcoxon. He leaves behind the Cherish his Memory his daughter Tonya (Tim) Smith and his son Fred J. (Kimberli) Wilcoxon. Grandchildren Savannah (Elijah) Pickel, Christian Smith, Isabelle “Izzy” Tipton, Mason (Lindsay) Wilcoxon, Jordon Wilcoxon, Robyn (Jim) Stroud, Blake Scott, Chelsey Hicks an Fiance Angel Vasquez. Great Grandchildren Boone pickle, Emma Cross, Knox & Jax Kincannon, James Stroud, Paisleigh Hicks an Riley Vasquez. His Sisters Essie Wilcoxon, Jessie Dean. His Brothers Kirby (Sadie) Wilcoxon, Clinton Wilcoxon, His Mother-In-Law Louise Clark Evans Sister-in-law Johnny Wilcoxon, Tanna Evans and Fiance Mike Hanson, Connie Evans and Wanda Evans. A very special Family Friend Tabitha Jones along with several Nieces and Nephews. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave Chapel with Pastor Matthew Harris and Rev. Chad Maxwell officiating. The interment will follow at Ball Play Baptist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.
