Harold Eugene Cross

Harold Eugene Cross, age 61, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018 in a local hospital. Gene was the son of the late Christine Frances Sissom Cross and Herman Frank Cross. His brothers, James Earl Cross and David Lee Cross also preceded him in death. Gene worked most of his life in the Lawn Care business. He loved the outdoors including fishing, camping and when he was younger, he enjoyed hunting with his family. Gene attended the Baptist Church.Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Michelle Ramsey of Cleveland, his sons, Terry Ramsey of Calhoun, Tennessee, Daniel Ramsey, David Eugene Cross, Jonathan Cross and Bobby Cross all of Cleveland, his sisters, Linda Blankenship, Brenda Cross and Glenda Cross all of Cleveland, his brother, Leon Cross and his wife Lucille, his aunts, Joann Childers and Roxie Penson all of Elijay, Georgia and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 A. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Micah Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery in McDonald with Roy Lee Dixon, Roy Dale Dixon, David Long, Nathan Phillips, John Croft, Jeff Hibbard, Henry Harden and Arthur Trentham serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearer will be Joseph Dixon. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P. M. Thursday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
