Helen Christine Scoggins Sherlin age 82 went home to be with her Lord with her family by her side Tuesday June 18, 2019. She was born April 17, 1937 to the late Richard and Maebelle Scoggins and was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Jim sherlin, her brother Gene Scoggins. Christine was an avid reader and loved country music. Yellow roses was her favorite flower. Even though Christine had struggles in her life she never lost her smile or her sense of humor even though she was sick and not long for this world. Today heaven is a better place with Christine and her smile being there. She was a great daughter, sister, mother and a caregiver to her family. She help raise and take care of her younger siblings. She was a caregiver to her mother and grandmother till their last days. She will be forever missed and loved by her family until we all meet again in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by her daughters Stacy Scoggins and Lori Beaver and her husband Keith, 2 grandsons Steven Whitt Cross, Justin T. Scoggins granddaughter Katlyn Beavers, 2 great granddaughters Alyissa Scoggins and Zoey Cross, 3 great grandsons Jordon Scoggins, Beckett Cross and Levi Cross, her sisters Dorothy Quinn, Joyce Davis, Betty Scoggins, Nancy Sykes, Cookie Hullender, Linda Hullender and Wanda Marks, her brothers Charlie Scoggins, Carl Scoggins, Kenneth Scoggins, her special life-long friend Mrs. Mable Lindsey. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Saturday at 1pm at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel. The interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in McDonald Tn., with family and friends servings as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11am until 1pm at the funeral homes.
