Jack "Jackie" Lamar Scroggins

Jack "Jackie" Lamar Scroggins, age 58, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Thursday morning at the family residence. Jackie was the son of the late Rose Lee Howard Scroggins and Jack Scroggins Sr. He was associated with the Meigs County Fire and Rescue for several years. Along with his dad and brothers, he worked in the Dry Wall Business for many years. He loved his dogs, "Georgey" and "Dew" and his bird "Gabby". Jackie attended the Baptist Church.Survivors include sisters, Linda Spencer and her husband Chris of Georgetown, Carla Woods and her husband William of Charleston, his brothers, Timmy Scroggins and his wife Connie of Georgetown, Mickey Scroggins and his wife Teresa, his nieces, Amanda Cronan, Ashley Cronan, Jordan Woods, his nephews, Little Mickey Scroggins, Carson Scroggins, Andrew Scroggins, Hunter Prince, Dakota Spencer, Timothy Scroggins, Bradley Woods, Jackie's girlfriend, Barbara Wilkins of Athens and several great nieces, great nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11:00 A. M. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the Cofer Cemetery in Meigs County with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 P. M. Sunday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
