Jacquelyn "Jackie" Touchstone Walker

January 29, 1939 - April 25, 2022

Jacquelyn (Jackie) Touchstone Walker, age 83, a resident of Cleveland, went to her Heavenly home Monday, April 25, 2022 in Cleveland, TN. Mrs. Walker was born in Gainesville, GA and the daughter of the late Benjamin Touchstone and Mildred Johnson. Her sister Nancy Brigman and Guardians Lois and Lee Watson also preceded her in death. She was a legacy member of the Mount Paran Church of God, in Atlanta, GA and attended the North Cleveland Church of God, in Cleveland, TN. Mrs. Walker was actively involved, alongside her husband, in various ministry roles for over 60 years. She was an accomplished leader, teacher, fund raiser, networker, convention, and conference planner. Her heart throb was women’s ministry along with her benevolence with 0peration Compassion and the creation of strategic programs of ministry focusing on widows or fatherless children launching the “Bless a Widow” program and the “Bless a Child” program. Her life focus was the Power of Promises, Power of People, Power of Persistence, and Power of Performance. She was sweet, kind, compassionate with a foundation of faith. She was known for being eloquent, her attention to excellence, beauty, grace, classy, sassy, funny, love and compassion for others, a strong love of God, and a pillar of grace and most importantly a prayer partner to many. She had a southern charm and an electrifying smile…. a true southern lady. Survivors include her husband Dr. Donald M. Walker, daughters Dr. Denise Walker Harris (Scott) of Atlanta, GA, Donna Walker Scoggins of Cleveland, TN, grandchildren Jordan Scoggins, of Cleveland, TN, Preston Scoggins (Kali), of Cleveland, TN and great-grandchildren Bowen Scoggins and Addisyn Mitchell, brother Mike Williams (Jan) of Atlanta, GA and sister Norma Johnson of Atlanta, GA, along with several nieces and nephews. The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 3:00pm at the North Cleveland Church of God with Dr. Mark Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 2:30pm on Saturday, April 30, 2022 in the North Cleveland Church of God sanctuary. Interment following at Sunset Memorial Gardens with casket bearers Mike Williams, Preston Scoggins, Jordan Scoggins, Scott Harris, Kevin Johnson, and Marty Johnson.
