James Robert Carroll

James Robert Carroll, age 73, a resident of Old Fort, Tennessee, passed away Sunday morning in a local hospital. Mr. Carroll was born in Ten Mile, Tennessee and he was the son of the late Viola Roberts and James Robert Jackson. His adopted parents, Walter and Rosie Carroll, his sister, Barbara Russell and his brother, Larry Carroll also preceded him in death. Mr. Carroll was a retired Veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He loved to travel, going to casinos and fishing. He was of the Christian Faith.Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Frances J. Salas Carroll of Old Fort, his son, Paul Edward Carroll also of Old Fort, his grandson, Dustin Dakota Tanner Carroll, his granddaughter, Isabella Yolanda Avery Carroll, his niece, Missy Wright Conner and her husband Tim of Rockwood, Tennessee and his nephew, Robby Wright of Knoxville also survive.The Remembrance of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at a later time.
