Jerry Gordon Hyatt, age 86, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Hyatt, daughter, Carlene Hyatt, parents Greeley Gordon Hyatt and Myrtle Brown Hyatt, brothers, Larry Hyatt and Ronald Hyatt, sisters, Barbara Elliott, Aleene Smith, Lorene Suits, and Carolyn Teague. He is survived by daughter Rema Hyatt, sister Greta Hyatt, brothers Donnie (Mary Lou) Hyatt and Eddie (Sara) Hyatt, sister-in-law Remell Hyatt, grandson Eric Hyatt, granddaughter Melissa Hyatt, several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved pets Chico and Rollie. Jerry served in the United States Marine Corp, as a combat engineer during the Korean War, where he received several medals. He later became a professional painter. He had a passion for golf and the talent to play professionally had he pursued it. He was a devoted son and loving brother, who was steadfast in his commitment to family. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Sunday at 2pm at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Rev. Joseph Bathe officiating. The interment with Military Honors will follow at Hilcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12 until 2 at the funeral home.
