Jimmy Ray Reynolds

Jimmy Ray Reynolds, 76, of Ooltewah, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 in a Chattanooga hospital. Jimmy was born in Ocoee, Tennessee and he was the son of the late Vesta White Reynolds and Ross Raymond Reynolds. His son, Jason Matthew Reynolds and his brothers, Roy Edward Reynolds, Charles G. Reynolds and Johnny T. Reynolds also preceded him in death. Jimmy worked as an Engineer with 55 years of service retiring from Heatec in Chattanooga. He served for 27 years in the Tennessee Army National Guard. He enjoyed the outdoors including hunting and fishing. He loved to travel with his family out west and along with his son Jeff, he had a passion for Trains. Jimmy was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church in Polk County.Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Brenda N. Reynolds of Ooltewah, son, Jeff Reynolds also of Ooltewah, daughter in law, Holly Reynolds, Murfreesboro, sisters, Ruth Reynolds Anderson, Barbara Reynolds Burger (Jimmy) all of Cleveland, Brenda Reynolds Blount, Athens, brothers, Paul Reynolds, Ocoee, Bobby Reynolds, Benton, several nieces and nephews.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 4 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Pastor Roy Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Robert Gatlin, Timmy Anderson, Ray Anderson, Wayne Reynolds, Brian Reynolds and Justin Reynolds serving as casket bearers. Military honors will be given. The family request that all guests attending the visitation and the funeral please wear a mask! The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 P. M. Tuesday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
