John Samuel "Sammy" Smith

John Samuel “Sammy” Smith born January 19, 1957 to Edward and Elveda Smith went home to be with the Lord October 7, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father Edward H. Smith Sr. his brothers Steve, Eugene and Don Smith He will be missed by many friends and loved ones.He is survived by his mother Elveda Marie Smith, his brothers Rev. Edward H. Smith Jr., and his wife Kathy, and Joseph Smith, all of Cisco GA., his sisters in law Sue Smith, Joan Scroggs, and Shirley Day, his sisters Loreen Banks and her husband David, Nettie Lou Griggs and her husband Bobby of Elijay, a special nephew whom he loved like a son Casey Banks, his daughter Candi Cronan, granddaughter Jessica Cronan, his grandson Tristan Cronan, along with several nieces nephews and a host of friends.A Remembrance of Life service will be held 3pm Sunday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Reverend Edward H. Smith Jr. officiating. The Interment will follow at the Smith Family Cemetery in Cisco GA, with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 until 3pm at the funeral home.The family would like to thank our friends and loved ones for all the love and care they have shown to us in our hour of sadness and grief.Read Obituary
