Josephine L. Williams

Josephine Williams, age 82, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Wednesday morning at the family residence. Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late Alma Wilbanks Martin and Cecil Martin Sr. Her sons in law, Ronnie Volbert and Garry Gilliland, her sister, Ruby Seamstress and her brothers, Cecil Martin Jr. and Buddy Martin also preceded her in death. Mrs. Williams worked for more than 20 years as a seamstress, working for the American Uniform Company and the Hennessee Apparel Company. She enjoyed reading, watching birds but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Williams attended the Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband, Fred Williams Sr. of Georgetown, her daughters, Janet Volbert of Lima, Ohio, Joletta Williams of Harrison, Tennessee, Alma Gilliland of Georgetown and Shellie Sims and her husband Arnold of White Pine, Tennessee, her son, Fred Williams Jr. of Cleveland, her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2:00 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Ray Cheatham officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery, Georgetown with Eaven, Aaron, Austin and Arnold Sims, Fred Williams Jr. and Sam Gilliland serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 P. M. Saturday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
