Karella "Kay" Rymer Harper

Karella "Kay" Rymer Harper, age 98, a resident of Knoxville and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 in a Knoxville health care facility. Mrs. Harper was the daughter of the late Ethel Merrell Rymer and Julius Frederick Rymer. Her husband, Eugene Harper, her sisters, Charmie Johnson and Luwana Owens and her brothers, Authur Rymer and Eugene Rymer. Mrs. Harper loved to cook and work in her flower and vegetable gardens. She was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church where she was very active working with the Children's Department with Dr. Ron Coleman.Survivors include her sisters, Shirlene Nicholson of Lenoir City, Phyllis Morris and her husband Don of Alcoa, Tennessee and Glenda Smith and her husband Doug of Crane Hill, Alabama, her brother, Garland Rymer and his wife Doris of Kennesaw, Georgia and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 3:00 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Jim Caywood and Dr. Ron Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with nephews serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 P. M. Sunday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
