Kenneth Larry Scoggins

Kenneth Larry Scoggins passed away September 15, 2021 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was born June 29, 1954 to the late Richard and Mabell Scoggins, and was also preceded in death by his oldest son Larry Scoggins Rymer, brother Gene Scoggins, sister Helen Sherlin, nephews Tommy Scoggins and Jeff Duckworth, niece Ericka Hullender, the mothers of his children Pamela Lawson and Connie Talbot. Kenneth had a vast knowledge of anything you could talk to him about. His saying was “I know everything”. He loved the outdoors. His favorite place in the whole world was the Great Smoky Mountains where he would take his grandkids, almost every summer camping. He loved the quietness and peacefulness of the mountains. He was loved by his family whom he loved very much as well. He knew and loved the Lord and will be sadly missed until the Lord brings us all home. “We’ll see you soon Kenneth”. Survivors include his children: Mark Scoggins Rymer, Ashley Stoker, Josh Scoggins, six grandsons, 3 granddaughters, brothers: Charles Scoggins, Carl Scoggins, sisters: Dorothy Quinn, Joyce Davis, Betty Scoggins, Nancy Syker, Mildred Hullender, Linda Hullender, Wanda Marks, many nieces along with 3 special nieces he lived with and loved with all of his heart, Amiyah Ballou, Aliyah Ballou and Destiny Willbanks along with many nephews and friends. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 11 o’clock Wednesday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. Chapel with Rev. Cy Harris officiating. The interment will be at Lee Cemetery in McDonald with Kenneth’s six sisters serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.Read Obituary
