Lloyd Grant McClung, Jr., born August 12, 1950, went home to be with his Lord October 7, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Janice, father to Matthew (Leslie) and Joel, and grandfather to Colt, Andrew, Chloe, and Cameron.He was beloved as a brother, cousin, uncle, and in all other family relationships. Grant’s life is an example of his favorite Bible verse from Phil. 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Grant’s influence for Christ is felt globally, now over several decades, as a pastor, missionary, professor, friend, and mentor to many. Grant will be dearly missed by all who knew him until we meet again.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11 A. M. at the Westmore Church of God with Pastor Kelvin Page officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery in McDonald with Colt McClung, Andrew McClung, Ian McClung, Elijah DiSiena, Kiel McClung, Russell Pottorff, Kris Battle and Allen DiSiena serving as casket bearers. Dr. McClung was such a terrific teacher and an encouragement to all of us as future missionaries. And I felt especially to me. There were few women at the seminary then and we all sought to be extra good. Missionaries frequently get the short end of the stick but none of us ever felt that way. He knew we were all essential to the gospel. I have so many good memories of our time in class. Big Blessings on the family.

Janice I was saddened to hear of grants passing. Not sure if you remember m, I’m Dianne brown was married to Paul brown. Paul and I met you both at the north Hollywood church of God in Burbank Ca with the pastor David Bishop. We always thought you both were a special couple serving God in your ministry. Sending God’s love and comfort to you and your family at this difficult time.

Our family is very fond of our dear brother in Christ, Grant McClung Jr. My father, Reynolds Ritchie and my Mom, Faye, stepped into the ministry in 1975 that Grant and Janice began in Simi Valley, California. Grant and Janice were always kind, gentle, patient and loved people with all of their heart. We are so very sorry for this great loss to the family, to all the friends, and to the Church of God.
