Lorraine C. Wooley, age 78, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Monday evening in a Chattanooga Hospital. Lorraine was born in Memphis, Tennessee and she was the daughter of the late Ruth May Burney Carroll and John Holcomb Carroll. Her son, Brent Wooley, her brother, Steve Carroll and her brother in law, James "Jim" Wooley also preceded her in death. Lorraine was a homemaker. She also did some substitute teaching where she taught French and German. She had the gift of Hospitality! She loved to cook and entertain family and friends. Lorraine was a member of the Westmore Church of God and she attended the Berean Sunday School Class.Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Jerry L. Wooley of Georgetown, her son, Derek S. Wooley and his wife Jolinda Joy Wooley of Cleveland, her aunt, Helen Burney of Coffeeville, Mississippi, her sister in law, Ramona Stephenson and her husband Tommy of Charleston, Mississippi, her brothers in law, Ronald Wooley and his wife Betty of Liberty, Mississippi and Robert "Bob" Wooley of Reno, Nevada, her special cousin, Morris Holloway of Canton, Georgia and several nieces, nephews and other cousins also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 1:00 P. M. at the Westmore Church of God with Pastor Kelvin Page, Reverend Wendell Smith and Reverend Henry Smith officiating. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 2:30 P. M. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Mark Wickham, Larry Osborne, Harry Dale, Jay Smith, Ray Hughes Jr., Doy Owens and Lyle Swartzel serving as active casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Len Graham, Milton Riley, Wayne Miolen and Joel Swartzel. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 1:00 on Saturday at the Westmore Church of God.
