Marie Wright

Marie Wright, age 84, a resident of Georgetown, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the family residence. Mrs. Wright was born in Chattanooga and she was the daughter of the late Mollie Williams Hollis and Lewis Carroll Hollis. Her husband, Carl Wright and several brothers and sisters also preceded her in death. Mrs. Wright was retired from Wal-Mart after 20 years of service. She was known for being a sweet lady and having a great sense of humor. What made her the happiest was being around people. She never met a stranger, always willing to help anyone who was in need. Because she came from a big family, she loved being with her family anytime she could. Mrs. Wright was a Christian.Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Stokes and her husband Keith, Lisa Wright Bowman all of Cleveland, her grandchildren, Joshua Stokes and his wife Misty, Daniel Stokes, Amanda Stokes and her companion Ross Moncrief, Brandi Williams and her companion Jason Kelly, Michael Bowman and his companion Becca McGrath, Jason Bowman and his companion Kim Gibson, her great grandchildren, Haleena Williams, Halynn Williams, Sawyer Bowman, Breanna Bowman, Alissa Bowman, Travis Bowman and Jesse Richesin, her sister, Bertha Gilbert of Alabama, her brothers, George Hollis of Oklahoma, Ralph Hollis and his wife Seba of Amarillo, Texas and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 1:00 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel. Interment will follow in the McInturf Cemetery with grandsons serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 1:00 on Saturday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
