It was a privilege to celebrate Martin's 90th Birthday with him and yourselves in person. I was so looking forward to celebrating his 100th...BUT that was not to be... Our lives and his are in God's hands and that is where I will leave him rest. I offer my sincerest condolences! Sig Pfahl (Grandson to Ottille Hoehn (Bytoff) niece to Christian Hoehn Martin's Father.
Uncle Martin was always attentive to my mother - his sister - Martha Hoehn Machnee. Many years ago when she had a hip replacement in a Regina, Saskatchewan hospital in the middle of winter, he flew up from sunny Florida to be with her. He was always so kind to her. He rented a car and we had a few great laughs as he had to adjust to the cold weather (it was about 40 degrees below zero) and winter driving. It is sad to know that my last uncle has passed away. Prayers to you all.
I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Martin's passing.
He was an inspiration and a joy. We were so lucky to have known him and proud to have him in our family. He will be sadly missed.
