Mary Wilson, age 74, a life long resident of Old Fort, passed away early Thursday morning in a Chattanooga hospital. Mamaw, as she was affectionately called, was the daughter of the late Addie Price Rush and Paul Rush. Her grandson, Adam Miles Willis also preceded her in death. Mamaw was retired from Beaulieu Carpets with over 10 years of service. She enjoyed cooking for everyone but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mamaw was a long time member of the Ball Play Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband, Bob Wilson of Old Fort, her daughters, Lynnette Holder and her husband Marty Lillard of Delano, Vicky Willis and her husband Greg of Cleveland and Christy Patterson and her husband Doug of Old Fort, her son, Bobby "Butch" Wilson Jr. of Conasauga, Tennessee, her 9 grandchildren, her 8 great grandchildren, her sister, Anna B. Buckner of Old Fort and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 4:00 P. M. from the Ball Play Baptist Church with Pastor Matthew Harris, Reverend Steve Dills and Reverend Carl Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in the Ball Play Baptist Church Cemetery with Dusty Thompson, Josh Caughron, Eddie Swallows, Justin Rush, Scotty Kersey and Scott Buckner serving as active casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be her great grandsons and her grand daughters serving as flower girls. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 4:00 P. M. on Saturday at the Church.
