Michael "Bubba" Edward Childs

Michael “Bubba” Childs, 47 a life-long resident of Georgetown took his journey to his eternal home Friday August 28, 2021 in a Nashville hospital. He was preceded in death by his brother Andrew Lee Childs, grandparents Creed and Roxie Childs, Frank and Martha McKenzie, 4 aunts and 3 uncles. Bubba was an employee at Peyton Southeastern with over 30 years of service. He was a graduate of Meigs County High School. He was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He is survived by his wife Crystal Childs, parents Patricia and Edgar Childs, step-son Sebastian McCann (Samantha), grandchildren Fury McCann, and Isabella McCann, several nieces and cousins. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held Friday at 2pm at Burdette Baptist Church with Rev. David Evans and Rev. Dewayne Murphy officiating. The interment will follow at McInturf Cemetery with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Thursday from 3 until 9 pm and Friday 1 until 2pm all at Burdette Baptist.
