Michael Douglas Holmes

Michael D. Holmes, age 65, a resident of Cleveland passed away Tuesday July 9, 2019 at the family residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Holmes. Michael was a 1972 graduate of Bradley Central High School. He was an avid lover of music attending numerous musical concerts in his life and a fan of the Atlanta Braves. He worked as a roofer and in other construction positions. He was a member of West Cleveland Baptist Church. He is survived by his mother Sylvia Holmes, his sisters Lydia Glynn and her husband Jay, Cheryl Thompson and her husband Russ, his nephews Sam Glynn and Ben Thompson along with numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. A Remembrance of Michael’s Life will be held Friday at 3 o’clock at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Rev. Arris Cavender and Pastor Van Smith officiating. The committal service will follow at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Ben Thompson, Sam Glynn, Jimmy Liner, Jay Glynn, Bud Holmes, Michael Ray Holmes and Hayden Hamilton serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Friday from 1 until 3pm at the funeral home.Read Obituary
