Many of you don't know me or know just how much I loved this special young man. Let me tell you about him, Michael, my Michael. The first time he said my name.... Hi, Weesa. I was Weesa when he, at 17, called my name out in a store. He is funny beyond belief. He loves to make people laugh. He never meets a stranger. He dances crazy and endearing. He sings badly and perfectly. He could channel Bob Dylan's voice at 4 years old when he didn't know the lyrics of the song blasting on the radio. He makes a great cheese quesadilla, but messes up chocolate cobbler "Goo". He has an infectious laugh. He loves chicken tenders. He can scare the life out of me and laugh until he snorts about it. He loves to get his feet rubbed and back scratched. He dressed as an elf "Ping" to hangout with the little ones at a Squadron Christmas party instead of staying home and playing video games. He has the most loving and beautiful blue eyes. He is artistically and musically talented. He loves Christmas and Halloween. He loves his friends. He adores "His Pika" and Pika cherished him. He loves fashion and is very good with it. He has pickle toes, angry eyes and a mad tummy. He can be a challenge, but can't we all. He always smells wonderful. He ran in a crazy way like he was going in every direction at warp speed not knowing where his destination would end. He was Michael.
He grabbed my heart in a pair of dinosaur one-piece footie PJ's when he said, "Hi, Weesa" and our story began. He is special and there is a special place in my heart that is only his. My Michael, rest in peace, my angel. I know with all my heart and no doubt you are forever with me as I am with you. I ❤️ you, Mom.
I had many classes with Michael in high school and had the opportunity to graduate with him and we became good friends over the course of the time he was there. Although I didn't know him very well, what I did know of him was that he always had kind, gentle words to say to others and made others laugh. My heart aches for your family and I only pray for peace and understanding for your family during this unfortunate time. He touched many, many lives by his humor, success-focused goals, and constant kindness. Again, my prayers are with your family, you will be missed Mike.
Sending our thoughts and prayers to everyone in the Schierer family. So very sorry to hear of your loss.

Michael.... I met you when you still lived in Iowa, and you weren't only my next door neighbor, you were also my best friend. Everyday consisted of "mom, can I go see if Michael can play?!" You were my best friend when we were little. We did everything together, and we were inseparable. We also got into quite a bit of trouble together! Riding our bikes up and down the street all day, playing hotwheels together, you name it, we did it. I love you Michael, and I'll never forget all of the wonderful memories we share from when we were little.
Chey, thank you so much for your heart words. You and Michael were quite the pair. I know he loved the memories you both shared. He and I used to laugh about how you both terrorized your mom with the eyeballs. Again, thank you.
Where do I even begin.... when we first met you, you were just starting middle school and you came over to play video games and hang out... Derek would take you dirt bike riding, as well as dump a bucket of water on your head... you helped me out in more ways than you could ever know... you will truly be missed and thought of daily... everyone you met, you have touched a special place in their hearts.. may you forever be at peace💔😢
Thank you, Jamie. Your words and love mean so much.
There's so many great memories that we had together, it hard to know that there won't be any new ones, but the memories that we made we're enough to last a lifetime. I will never forget. Words are not enough to describe how much you meant to me Mike. There will always be a place for you in my heart.
