Michael Ryan Sluder, 36, passed away October 19, 2017 as the result of injuries received in an accident in Los Angeles, California. Born October 7, 1981 in Cleveland, he enjoyed the mountains, trails and fishing, and often accompanied his dad to drag racing events. He was employed at The Auto Shop in Costa Mesa, California and was of the Baptist faith. He attended Cleveland High School, Bradley Central High School, and Cleveland State Community College. Two of his greatest passions were his son, Ryan, and riding motorcycles. He had a heart of gold, full of love for his family, friends, and music. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Yank and Opal Mathews, and paternal grandparents, Charles and Rosey Sluder. He is survived by the following: mother, Elizabeth Faye Mathews Sluder, and father, Bill Michael Sluder and wife, Karen, Brittany Ball, the mother of his son, Ryan Taylor Sluder, brothers, Trayce Sluder, Todd and Michelle Humbert, Tim and Becky Humbert, and sister, Kellie and Steve Knapp. In addition, aunts Kay Mathews, Mary and Steve Whaley, Carolyn and Eric Morris and uncles, Harold and Teresa Sluder, Leonard and Karon Sluder, Marty and Tricia Sluder, Melvin and Norma Sluder, Alvin and Robin Sluder, and Phil Mathews, several cousins, extended family and friends. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 3 o’clock Saturday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Reverend Todd Humbert and Reverend Mike Hand officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Craig Sluder, Nathan Morris, Lee Harris, Nick Townsend, Matthew Price, Philip Sluder, Chase Sluder and Steve Switter serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.
