Nancy Ann Todd Lewis, age 96, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 in a local health care facility. Mrs. Lewis was the daughter of the late Leila Barton Lewis and Joseph S. Todd. Her husband, Earnest Lewis, her sisters, Gladys Warren, Louise Stone, Ruth McClemore and Hazel Hutchinson and her brothers, Louie Todd, George Todd, Curtis Todd, Rufus Todd and Dan Guthrie also preceded her in death. Mrs. Lewis was a graduate of Appling County, Georgia High School. Mrs. Lewis worked for General Electric in Connecticut where she met the love of her life, Earnest. Along with her husband, she worked on the Lewis Family Farm in Baxley, Georgia for many years. She also worked for Fielding's Manufacturing in Alma, Georgia. In her 80's, she worked for the Cleveland City School System in the Cafeteria at Stuart Elementary School. Mrs. Lewis was a life long member of the Church of God where she was very active, including teaching Sunday School for many years! In Cleveland, she was a member of the Westmore Church of God.Survivors include her daughter, Linda Leila Robinson and her husband Grey of Ringgold, Georgia, her sons, Shelton E. Lewis and Charlton S. Lewis and his wife Paulette all of Cleveland, her grandchildren, Todd Lewis, Robert Lewis and his wife Celeste, Candace Lewis, Brandon Lewis, Stephanie Taylor and her husband Robin, Lorinda Roberts and her husband Landon, Anna Anderson and her husband Brian and Ami Steele and her husband Jeffrey, her 12 great grandchildren, her 3 great great grandchildren, her brother, Toby Todd of Vidalia, Georgia, her sister in law, Betty Todd and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 3:00 P. M. from the Westmore Church of God with Pastor Jason Browning, Dr. Dan Black and Pastor Wendell Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 P. M. Thursday at the Westmore Church of God. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Westmore Church of God Building fund or to the Caring Place. Additional services will be conducted on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00 A. M. from the Alma 10th Street Church of God in Alma, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until the service time at 11:00 on Saturday at the Church in Alma. Interment will follow in the Unity Baptist Church Cemetery in Alma, Georgia.
