Paul Tinsley age 73 a resident of Georgetown passed away June 14, 2020. He was the son of the late James Edwin Tinsley and Ruby Hall Johnson and was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Dean Tinsley. Paul was a well-known heavy equipment operator, owning and operating Tinsley Excavating. He had the reputation of being the best heavy equipment operator in this area. He did all of the grading, cutting roads in, digging basements for all of Jim Sharps’ subdivisions, among others. There was an article in the Cleveland Daily Banner featuring Paul and his work for Lee University a number of years back. Paul was good at what he did because his work was his hobby and his passion. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Lakeway Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Freida Tinsley, his sons John Paul Tinsley and his wife Diane, James Edward Tinsley, his grandchildren, the light of his life, Hunter Tinsley, Makayla Parris, Breanna Tinsley, Alicia Tinsley and Seth Tinsley along with his sister Cindy Stewart and her husband Joe and several nieces and nephews. A Remembrance of Life Service will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave Chapel with Terry Payne sharing.
