Reverend Percy Rymer

February 11, 1943 - March 25, 2022

Reverend Percy Rymer, 79, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022 at the family residence. Reverend Rymer was born in Cleveland and he was the son of the late Margie Holt Rymer and Paul Rymer. His infant sons, Joseph Keith Rymer, Samuel Floyd Rymer, his son in law, Oscar Foster, his sisters, Hilda Hufner, Mary Rymer Cordell and his brothers, R. L. Rymer, Calvin Rymer also preceded him in death. He was in ministry and evangelized most of his life and he retired from the Bradley County Road Department with 40 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors including, camping, fishing and hunting. Most of all he loved taking care of his family. Reverend Rymer is a member of the Hard Shell House of Prayer in Tellico Plains where he served as Associate Pastor. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Brenda Rymer, Cleveland, daughter, Gincy L. Rymer, Cleveland, sons, Jeffrey Rymer (Sylvia), Mentone, Alabama, Timothy Brian Rymer, Cleveland, grandchildren, Amanda Cranfield, Maria Johnson, Drew Johnson, Joseph Rymer, Katherine Mann, great grandchildren, Jeffrey Johnson, Josh Johnson, Lakya Cranfield, Lane Stinnett, Tyler Stinnett, Olivia Thomas, Hadley Rymer, sister, Stella Foster, Cleveland, brothers, Dale Rymer (Bernice), Billy Rymer (Carolyn), all of Cleveland, several nieces and nephews. The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 3 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Bettis officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Jeff Rymer, Tim Rymer, Drew Johnson, P. J. Thomas, Lane Stinnett and Tyler Stinnett serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 P. M. Wednesday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
