Rhoda Leona Wooten Cheatham

Rhoda Leona Wooten Cheatham, 86, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at the family residence. Mrs. Cheatham was born in Polk County and she was the daughter of the late Lucy Jane Wilcox Wooten and Mac Wooten. Her husband, L. C. Wooten, daughter, Deanna Garrett, son, Harvey Joe Cronan and several brothers and sisters also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed gospel and country music. She also enjoyed taking car rides especially in the country. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Cheatham attended the Baptist Church.Survivors include daughters, Phyllis Ann King, Calhoun, Robin Hamilton (Rodney), Cleveland, Lucy Mae Hicks, Cleveland, sons, Ronnie Cronan, Cleveland, Billy Cheatham (Yelonda), Cleveland, Gordon Dean Cheatham, Benton, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, sisters, Reba Pack, Georgia, Maxine Stewart, Mississippi, several nieces and nephews.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 11 A. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Reverend Bobby Green officiating. Interment will follow in the Cumberland Shed Cemetery in Polk County with Jason Tankersley, Rodney Hicks, Dustin Hicks, Luke Phillips, Blake Starcher and Dewayne Garrett serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 P. M. Monday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
