Richard Wayne Daffron

Richard Wayne Daffron, 79 of Calhoun, TN passed away on March 17, 2022. He was born into this life on November 20, 1942 to Mae and William H. Daffron, Sr. of Cleveland, TN. He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Daffron; sisters, Phyllis Watson, Diann (Mike) Stewart, all of Cleveland; brothers, Bill Daffron, Jr. and partner Michael Dykla of Boynton Beach, FL, Jerry (Jane) Daffron of Land of the Lakes, IL; grandson, Daniel Grissom; aunt, Lois Dean James; four nephews and their children, Tony Watson, Tim (Tonia) Watson, Tracy (Erin) Watson all of Cleveland and Shane Daffron of Land of the Lakes, IL; brothers in law, Roy (Norma) Holladay of Ooltewah, TN and their 5 children, Leonard (Sandy) Holladay of Anchorage Alaska and their 2 sons, Charles Holladay of Bell Planes, Minnesota and his 4 children; 5 living children of Roberta and Charles Waddle; adopted daughter and special friend Teresa Smith of Polk County. He retired from Bradley Memorial Hospital with 27 years in the Engineering Department. He had previously worked as a carpet layer and at Bradley Interior often known as the “blind man”. He also worked for Bryant & Son Painting and Decorating. He served in the City of Cleveland as an Auxiliary Policeman in the early 70’s. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mae Caylor and William H. Daffron, Sr., stepmother, Hazel Daffron; stepfather, Robert M. Caylor; son, Michael Wayne Daffron; stepson, Eddie Dean Grissom, both of Cleveland; infant sister, Kathy Daffron; brother-in-law, Nathaniel L. Watson; sister-in-law, Roberta Waddle and brother-in-law, Charles Waddle; sister-in-law, Linda Holladay as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends Monday, March 21, 2022 at Jim Rush Funeral Home and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel from 11am until 1pm with a Remembrance of Life Service at 1pm with Pastor Wade Patterson officiating. The family will have a private burial at a later date. Family requests any donations be made in Richard’s name to the American Heart Association.
