Richard Steven Prueitt

Richard Steven Prueitt, 59, a resident of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away Sunday morning in a Chattanooga health care facility. Richard was born in Chattanooga and he was the son of the late Patsy Montana Bales Prueitt and Howard Casto Prueitt. His wife, Darla Sue Prueitt and his brothers, Michael Ray Prueitt and Jody Leanderson Prueitt also preceded him in death. Richard worked in construction most of his life. He loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing. Richard was a Christian.Survivors include his son, Brandon Quinn, Georgia; grandchildren, Natty Hood, James Kyle Hood, Kyah Hood, Brianna Massengale; sister, Lisa Michelle Wilkey, Chattanooga; brothers, Howard Lynn Prueitt, Hixson and Terry Lee McRoy; and several nieces and nephews.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 1 P. M. at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Bales officiating. Interment will follow in the McInturff Cemetery in Meigs County with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 11 A. M until 1 P. M. Thursday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation services North Ocoee Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
