Rita Montgomery

Rita Montgomery, 78, a resident of Cleveland, passed away, Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the family residence. Rita was born in Wheelwright, Kentucky and she was the daughter of the late Kathryn Phillips Jenkins and Virgil Jenkins. Her daughter, Robin Allison also preceded her in death. Rita was a homemaker and she loved all kinds of music. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and assisted him in his business. Rita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she attended the Keith Street Church of God of Prophecy.Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Bob Montgomery, Cleveland, daughters, Kathy Allison, Trenton, Georgia, Janna Beale (Josh), Knoxville, Tennessee, son, Todd Allison, Rising Fawn, Georgia, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sisters, Jackie Linley (Bill), Chatham, Virginia, Linda Wittler (Ed), Ringgold, Georgia, special friends, Buddy Walker, Roy Schisler, Evelyn Morgan, host of other friends, several nieces, nephews and cousins.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 12:30 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Anthony Cain officiating. Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A. M. until 12:30 P. M.
