Sam Collins

Sam Collins, age 83, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the family residence. His wife, Doris Collins, his daughter, Vicky Collins, his son, Ricky Collins, his parents and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death. Mr. Collins was retired from Maytag after 37 years of service. He loved to work but most of all he love being a grandfather! Mr. Collins attended the Church of God.Survivors include his daughters, Ann Hall of Old Fort, Whisper Collins of Cleveland, his sons, Jason Gladden of Birchwood, John Collins of Cleveland, his grandchildren, Christian Collins and Paige Collins, his step daughter Billie Swafford of Benton, his step son, Ricky Gladden and his wife Teresa of Cleveland, his sister, "Mop' Collins, his brothers, Philip Collins and John Paul Collins and several nieces and nephews also survive.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 2:00 P. M. from the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mt. Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Polk County with family and friends serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P. M. Saturday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
