Sam Redd Jr., age 87, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the family residence. Mr. Redd was the son of the late Lou Anna Bell Redd and Sam Samford Redd. His daughter, Janet Renee Ramsey, his son in law, Mike Ramsey, his great grand daughter, Jessica Ann Green, his sisters, Beatrice Cate, Katy Wolfe, Leona Redd, Stella Ownbey and his brothers, Troy, Robert, Tom and Ed Redd also preceded him in death. Mr. Redd worked for 10 years with Murray Lumber Company and he retired from Bendix/Honewell with 30 years of service. He was known for being a tireless worker! He loved the outdoors including fishing and hunting. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church where along with his wife enjoyed taking care of the yard work and keeping the church clean.Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Frances Marie Redd of Cleveland, his daughters, Josephine Green and her husband Terry, June Stiles and her husband Lowry, his son, Anthony Redd and his wife Patsy all of Cleveland, his grandchildren, Terry Daniel Green and his wife April, Alan Redd and his wife Samantha, Nathan Redd and his wife Leslie, Tamra Wooten and her husband Brian, Amanda Redd and Lacy Self and her husband Tucker, his great grandchildren, Joshua Daniel Green, Jesse Wooten, Rachel Green, Abigail Wooten, Riley Redd, Kayla Redd, Stormy Self, Willow Self and Aereonna Scott and several nieces and nephew also survive. The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 3:00 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Nathan Sneed officiating. Entombment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Danny Green, Brian Wooten, Jesse Wooten, Nathan Redd, Alan Redd and Tucker Self serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 3:00 on Tuesday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel who as charge of the arrangements.
