Scott Lee Williams, 68, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 in a local hospital. Scott was born in Wichita, Kansas and was preceded in death by his father, Jack Williams. He was a truck driver most of his life. He was very musical and was awarded a scholarship to college for his Tuba playing. He was also very good with the bass guitar. Scott played in many bands including the "School Bus Band"!Survivors include his Partner in living, Rita Carter of Cleveland, Rita's daughter, Tia Hamby, Tia's daughters whom they called Scott,"Grandpa", Madesyn and Ryleigh Hamby all of Cleveland, mother, Carol Williams also of Cleveland, sisters, Jan McCarthan (Tom) of Washington, Penny Casey (Ed) of South Carolina, 3 nieces, 1 nephew and aunts, uncles and cousins.There are no formal services now for the family. Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel has charge of the arrangements. I worked in the Reference Dept at the Public Library with Scott for a number of years. He was always a pleasure to work with.
My heart goes out to Rita and her family. Also deepest condolences to Scott’s mother Carol. I worked with her also.
I never got to meet Scott, but I was planning to go visit.
I worked with Rita for many years & she is a wonderful friend.

Scott was a cool guy to be around.he used to live under me and my family in Cleveland.im glad I got to know him.everytime I seen him he would have a smile on his face. Gone way too soon.scott always had a good heart.when we didnt have transportation scott would always help..if he could.but I will.never forget
