Shirley "Lou" Ledford, age 72, a resident of Georgetown, went home to the arms of Jesus October 20, 2019 surrounded by her family. Lou, as she was affectionately called, was the daughter of the late Lois Campbell Johns and Clarence Johns. Her sister, Linda Harris also preceded her in death. Lou was a charter member of Primitive Church of God where she was the pianist for 38 years. She was the Vacation Bible School director there for several years. Lou will be remembered for her vibrant smile and encouraging personality.Survivors include her husband, William "Sonny" Ledford of Georgetown, whom she shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with, her daughter, Bobbie Bice and her husband Ronnie, her son, Rodney Ledford and his wife Pam, her grandchildren, J. P. Bice, Ashley Sutton and her husband David and Jessica Bice, her great grandchildren, Bryson, Bailyn, Bryleigh and Hayden, the light of her life and her special niece, Callie Harris also survives.The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 11:00 A. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel with Pastor Clint Ledford officiating. Interment will follow in the Chestuee Methodist Church Cemetery with Ronnie Bice, Rodney Ledford, J. P. Bice, Wade Ledford, Robert Ledford and Jackie Sanders serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearer will be Hayden Bice. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 9:00 P. M. on Thursday at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Chapel who has charge of the arrangements.
