Susan Denise Shelton

Susan Denise Shelton, 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones July 13, 2021. Susan was born March 29, 1960 in Cleveland to George and Mary Swanson. She was the eldest of three siblings. Susan was the beloved wife of Rick Shelton. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother and all who knew her loved and cared for her deeply. She could brighten anyone’s day with a smile. Susan was a 20 year employee at Cracker Barrel as a waitress and hostess. She loved seeing her regulars and befriending many more. She enjoyed planting flowers and gardening. There was never a year she didn’t have something growing. She loved being outdoors and taking trips with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Rick Shelton; daughters Courtney Duke, Brittany Stinnett, sons James Duke, Tyler Duke, grandsons Barrett Kilgore, Waylon Stinnett, parents George and Mary Swanson, sisters Martha Kazy, Teresa Malone, brother Steven Swanson, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. At her request there will be a private graveside service. Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services Wildwood Ave. has charge of the arrangements.Read Obituary
